Halle Taite-Pitama

Kia ora, I am a second-year journalism student from the New Zealand Broadcasting School with a huge passion for storytelling.

As a first language te reo Māori speaker, I thrive in te ao Māori being a part of my workplace, while always having a positive attitude and a smile on my face.

Currently I am the only fluent Māori speaker in my cohort. For me, I feel as though I have a responsibility to make sure diversity is reflected in both a newsroom environment and the stories that are being produced.

Throughout my time at the Broadcasting School I have learnt many things about how to make quality content for the industry.

I am looking forward to building further relationships and growing more as I do my internship.

Feel free to get in touch.
