For the most part of the 20th Century, the New Zealand Government funded the killing of Kea, the only alpine parrot in the world. As a result, the bird is now close to extinction. This documentary explores the opposing viewpoints on the topic, hearing opinions from a chairperson from the Arthur's Pass Wildlife Trust and from archival tapes of a Bounty Hunter.
I had the pleasure of producing, filming, editing, and directing this film with my friend Josh Robertson. We both shared the workload equally and created a documentary we're both incredibly proud of.
