State highway 73 closed after serious crash

State Highway 73 is closed after a serious crash west of Darfield this morning.  

Police were notified of a crash involving a truck and a ute at 8am this morning.  

Police says there are serious injuries, but it is unclear at this stage how many people were involved.  

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area as a serious crash unit attends the scene. The road is expected to remain closed for some time.
