Kiwi rockers Split Enz will reunite for the first time in two decades at Christchurch's Electric Avenue music festival.

Electric Avenue has just announced its lineup for next year, featuring a combination of international and Kiwi artists.

The annual two-day music festival is set to take place in Hagley Park on February 27 and 28.

Split Enz will headline night one of the festival, marking the band's 50th anniversary and first performance in 20 years.

Electric Avenue director Callam Mitchell said Split Enz were the "most historic" booking the festival had ever made, saying the band went far beyond "just another headliner".

DJ Dom Dolla, who performed at Coachella, Creamfields and Lollapalooza in 2025, is set to headline night two.

"On the numbers, Dom Dolla is arguably the hottest DJ on the planet at the moment and he's now a stadium artist in many territories around the world," Mitchell said.

The 50+ act lineup features various international acts, including pop icon Kesha, drum and bass titans Pendulum, UK cult band The Streets, Ocean Alley, British dance music royalty Basement Jaxx and Letfield, UK chart topper Becky Hill, plus two of the breakout stars from Coachella this year -Sammy Virji and Disco Lines.

They're joined by Norwegian electronic innovators Röyksopp and the genre-bending Sudan Archives.

Mitchell said music heads will relish sets from Jaden Ngonda, Maverick Sabre, Obongjayar, Sudan Archives and The Streets.

"For those who don't know these names, discovering them at Electric Avenue will be the spark that creates lifelong fandoms."

The event remains a platform for homegrown and regional acts, including Fazerdaze, Leisure Drax Project, No Cigar, Kora, Supergroove, Bret McKenzie, and L.A.B.

With an expanded site and the addition of the second main outdoor stage, Electric Avenue is on track to host a record 45,000 people per day.

"It's going to be a cultural landmark event of epic proportions."

One NZ customers will be among the first to access tickets during a 48-hour presale starting next Tuesday.

Otherwise, the Electric Ave presale for weekend passes starts at 12pm the following day.

Single-day passes will be available from Friday, September 12.
