Police have confirmed that the fatal incident in Manawatū is being treated as a homicide.

Emergency services were called to the fatal house fire in Sanson on Saturday afternoon, where three children and their father died.

The three children are expected to undergo a post mortem tomorrow, and the post mortem of the father has been completed.

Police are not seeking anyone in relation to the incident but would like to hear from anyone who may have information to support the investigation.

The Givealittle page set up in support by friends of the family has surpassed $300,000 as of Tuesday evening, raising money to go toward “Chelsea beginning to rebuild her life.”

“In the midst of this unimaginable grief, she also lost her home and everything she owned. She is facing the hardest journey possible, stripped of her physical security while navigating the deepest emotional pain.”
