Are we gambling away our attention? Science says so.

EXTRA: Research shows three core reasons why we feel like the world comes crashing down when ol’ mate Tim doesn’t reply after you responded to his joke. Firstly, there is a sense of urgency to communication that hasn’t been there in the past. We want them to reply now, rather than tomorrow. Secondly, we feel like people are avoiding us. We go under the assumption that everyone is connected constantly - so they MUST have seen your message. And finally, we come to the conclusion that perhaps we aren’t worth the time. How long it does take to tap out a quick reply? Longer than we are worth apparently. In hindsight, Tim’s joke might not have been that good anyway #NotifyU
