Mental health is something that affects everyone. We all have it. So what can you do to keep a clear head?

EXTRA: Not a fan of nature? Well too bad - it’s good for you. Recent survey findings released by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand show that spending time outside has a positive impact on your mental health. Of those surveyed, 95% said that spending a bit of time around nature during their week made them feel good. Now that doesn’t mean you have to go out and hug some trees - but a walk around the block and through the park is beneficial. With nearly 50% of NZ experiencing a mental health problem in their lifetime, a dash through the forest doesn’t seem like too much effort if it helps a little. If you’re lucky you might even spot the recently crowned bird of the year, the kererū. Or you could spot it outside your office window. It’s a pigeon after all.
