New measles case identified in Nelson

A new measles case in Nelson has been identified overnight.  

This new case is not linked to any existing cases, which may indicate undetected community transmission, says Te Whatu Ora.  

Anyone who has visited Nelson in the past month should check locations of interest in the coming days, Health New Zealand recommends.   

The current number of cases has reached 18, but 17 of those are no longer infectious.
