The Black Caps will take to the pitch and meet the West Indies on Sunday, to kick off their three-match ODI series.
Black Caps coach Rob Walter expressed his excitement at having Henry back in the squad.
“Matt is a vital member of this group and the senior leader of our pace attack, so it’ll be great to have him back around the group for the ODIs and Tests,” said Walter.
Matt Henry returns for the New Zealand side after recovering from a calf strain. Henry has been undergoing a rehabilitation programme ahead of the ODI series, so will be excited to be get back out with the team.
Blair Tickner retains his place after a great performance in the two test series against England.
Jacob Duffy, Zak Foulkes, Kyle Jamieson, and Nathan Smith bolster a powerful pace attack, while skipper Mitchell Santner teams up with Michael Bracewell and Rachin Ravindra to handle the spin duties.
The first match of the ODI series starts at 2pm on Sunday.
