Fire and Emergency has contained an industrial fire on Maces Road in Bromley.

An industrial fire on Maces Road has been contained.

This comes after Fire and Emergency (FENZ) was alerted to the multi-tenanted buildings after 1pm today.

Around 50 employees from neighbouring buildings gathered on the street following an evacuation.

FENZ has confirmed the fire has not spread to any other surrounding buildings.

Incident Commander Dave Key says it will be an overnighter for the crew.

"We will have presence at the site overnight as it will take some time to fully extinguish."

A fire investigator is currently on scene and will begin to investigate the cause once the building is safe.

Traffic management is still in place and Police are urging people to stay away from the area and follow directions at cordons to ensure the crew can safely extinguish the fire.

Fire and Emergency are also urging people nearby to close their windows and stay inside if possible.
