Climate action, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and action for the victims in Palestine are the messages that residents in Christchurch want to convey at today's Climate Strike.
The protest was organised by the student-led group School Strike for Climate Ĺtautahi. It began at the Bridge of Remembrance where speeches, chants and a drama piece were shared before the group moved through the central city to the steps of the Christchurch City Council building.
This protest is one of many planned across the country this year, with other events expected to take place over the coming months.
