Police have located a body in Christchurch's Lake Rua this afternoon, believed to be the man that went missing in the water last night.
A formal identification process will take place, and the death has been referred to the Coroner.
Police were alerted at 6.50pm on Sunday of a man missing in Lake Rua in Harewood.
Search and Rescue, as well as the dive squad continued the search this morning.
The public should expect an increased police presence in the area in the coming days.
