Black Fern’s baby news: “Pēpi Hirini coming May”

Black Ferns player Sarah Hirini has announced she and husband Connor Hirini are expecting a child.

The pair took to social media last night to share the news. 

A beanie, tiny shoes, and a sonogram sat together in the photo, captioned “Pēpi Hirini coming May.”

Hirini, 32, has played 15-a-side and seven-a-side rugby union and led the New Zealand Rugby Sevens to back-to-back gold medals at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics and 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

In 2019, Hirini was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for her services to rugby union. 

Teammates and friends took to the Instagram comment section to congratulate the pair.
