New Zealand’s blood supply is under pressure. While more than 130,000 people are registered donors, that’s just a fraction of those eligible—and the need, especially for plasma, is climbing fast.

Canterbury’s young people are being targeted as potential blood donors, as the Blood Services works to build up its stocks.

Mobile donation units will visit universities and Polytechnics over the next few months as part of the campaign.
