Ruby-Mae Allen

I entered the New Zealand Broadcasting School as a simple 18-year-old with a big dream. A dream to not only create beautiful motion pictures, but to gain the expertise and skill to deliver these stories to the world.

Coming from a large combined family and having a large cycle of different people in my life, I have experienced the wide variety of personalities the world has to offer, and how many of these personalities are easily overlooked. I want to be a part of an industry that shines a light on these hidden people.

The skills and knowledge I have gained from NZBS have led me to my deeper passion for cinematography and post-production. From directing a multi-cam children's television show, directing and camera operating for a music video, or editing a short film, anything that involves thinking creatively and producing something visually appealing has my name written all over it.

My name is Ruby-Mae Allen, and I want to make things that leave an impact on the world.
