Nau mai, haere mai!
My name is Marcus Allan, a journalism student at the New Zealand Broadcasting School in the beautiful Ōtautahi, Christchurch.
I am originally from Hawkes Bay, with a passion for storytelling, the arts, music and media throughout my life. As I got older, I developed those interests, becoming an active consumer of nationwide news.
At Broadcasting School, I have been fortunate to cover a wide range of stories; politics, entertainment, and breaking news to name a few. I have gained experience within fast paced and long-form environments. Metro News has been an essential part of building my journalistic skills in all mediums, as I head towards a career in the industry.
I see myself as a friendly, flexible and reliable person who can collaborate in a team environment. For me, building good relationships is paramount to creating quality journalism. I hope I can continue to foster that further in my work.
