Kia Ora,
My name is Declan O'Connell and I'm currently in the second year of TV and Screen Production at the New Zealand Broadcasting School.
During my school years I made short films on my school iPad and edited them on iMovie. I thought it was the coolest thing ever and I dreamed about being involved in making real movies one day.
I went into this course already leaning towards technical roles in post-production environments, most of all as an editor. I have a keen eye for making things work on the technical side and am always keen to tackle a problem and/or learn how to do things better and quicker.
I am a strongly motivated and hardworking individual when working in a team and am always committed to my role when involved in the post-production process. I always strive to make it an enjoyable experience for others when collaborating in a team and enjoy hearing people's ideas and trying my best to make them work.
Below you can see all the projects I've been involved in throughout the course including all the Metro News stories that I edited.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Cheers,
Declan
