Kia Ora, I'm Cora! I'm a second year screen student at NZBS.
Ever since I was a little kid I've always been interested in film and making videos, at the time that was LEGO stop motion, but I eventually moved on to making my own films with friends in high school. I studied film and animation at Yoobee Colleges before switching to NZBS due to Covid-19. This has given me a strong background in cinematography, colour grading, editing, and basic visual effects, but I am most passionate about narrative cinematography/camera operating.
My time at NZBS has been spent focusing on honing my camera, lighting, and editing skills. I have operated camera in many different contexts, including single camera drama, news camera, live studio camera, documentary, etc. I feel that this has given me a wider understanding and appreciation for visual storytelling. I have also spent a lot of time in the colour suite, grading films and music videos. I have also done camera jobs on the side, including advertising for Kidds Cakes & Bakery, and live roaming close-up camera for the Lincoln University Thomson & Whelan Basketball Championships.
I enjoy working in a team to bring a film to life, and would love to work in the camera or lighting departments
Learner's Licence, aiming for restricted as soon as possible.
