I have always known I was destined to help others but was unsure in what capacity - until I discovered journalism.
Kia ora koutou,
I am Belle Jackson, a second-year journalism student at the New Zealand Broadcasting School.
Anthropology has always fascinated me and I truly believe that perspective is power. Something that I've already been able to share in areas such as business, culture, and social issues.
A key part of this is the importance of sharing Māori stories that do not repeat historical misrepresentation in mainstream media.
In all aspects of my mahi you can expect passion, curiosity and an infectious laugh.
Throughout my time at the New Zealand Broadcasting School, I’ve learned the demands of journalism, and I am ready to step into the industry.
