Weather and traffic: Frosty, clear day to start to the week

A clear cold start to the day as the country enters its first full week of Level 2 restrictions for the second time.

A clear start to the day with evening cloud and light winds expected.

Metservice has forecasted a high of 11deg with sunset at 5.49pm.

At 7.30am, the temperature was a wintry -2.7deg. Light northeastlery winds are expected until midday and then light easterlies continuing.

An unseasonably warm week is expected with temperatures reaching 17deg on Wednesday and Friday.

No rain is forecasted for this week.

Traffic, meanwhile, is steady this morning. 

Road closure between 8am and 4pm on Justine Drive, through Robinsons Road and Berketts Road.

Travel Times: Aranui, 13 minutes to CBD. Bealey Ave, 4 minutes. Riccarton, 10 minutes. Sumner, 17 minutes. Springs road, 10 minutes. Airport, 15 minutes.
