Meet the stonemasons behind the Arts Centre's restoration

40 stonemason’s from all over the world have helped reconstruct the Arts Centre, but as funding issues creep in, some of the unrestored heritage buildings could remain unrestored.

This month marked 10 years since the 2010 earthquakes and for the Arts Centre they’re still shifting stones to complete restoration efforts.

With funding issues creeping in, MetroNews reporter Digby Werthmuller went behind the wire fence to get a look into what it takes to restore these category one heritage sites.
