More than just a hair salon. Shear Havoc is a new children's dedicated hair salon catering to sensory kids.

For some, getting your child to stay still during a haircut is a challenge. Shear Havoc reckons they've got you covered.

The new dedicated children's hair salon takes an individual approach to meet the needs and requirements of every client.

Shear Havoc owner and stylist, Wendy Randall said the salon was inclusive for all children.

"I want to to create a safe space for everyone that's subdued."

Randall said she catered for children with sensory issues, using dim lighting and lowered sound.

"My hair salon is targeted towards kids, sometimes parents find it hard having to wait around, for some it's an overwhelming experience," Randall said.

Shear Havoc offers free "test drive" appointments for children to experience the space, have a play and meet the stylists.
