Two buildings at the unused Wigram Primary School have been destroyed in a fire.

Emergency services received multiple calls from residents in the area.

The fire lasted about an hour and a half.

One of the buildings is now a charred shell, while the damage to the second building is unknown.

Fire investigators will be attending the scene later today, to pinpoint the cause of the fire.

The public is warned to stay away from the building, as it contains asbestos.
