The $1.2 million proposed park would take 18 months to complete, according to documents published in the Linwood-Central-Heathcote community board agenda.
Board chairwoman, Sally Buck, said the new park would be well-used by the community.
Public consultation drew 53 submissions with the most commonly asked-for items being play equipment for preschoolers, a barbecue and vehicle access to the community building.
Six submissions asked that the park not have a skate park.
