Christchurch Boy's High 1st XV will renew an old rivalry when they travel to South Africa next month

As part of the elite World Schools Festival they will face the host city team Paarl Boys' High - having ended that school's 43-match winning streak during its New Zealand tour last year.

The festival which takes place between the 3rd and 7th of April is part of Paarl Boys' 150th anniversary celebrations and will feature ten teams from five continents including sides from New Zealand, England, Italy, the United States, Australia, Namibia and Argentina.

In their first match they will face Grey College, a South African school boasting 13 unbeaten seasons from 1981-2011 and widely regarded as the best rugby school in South Africa.

They also have produced the most Springboks in the modern era with a total of 38 including the likes of MornĂ© du Plessis and Theuns Stofberg.

Christchurch Boys' will face Grey College on Wednesday, 4th April.

In their other fixture they will face Paarl Boys' High who in 2015 were recognized for being the number one ranked rugby school in South Africa.

Early last year Paarl Boys' 43-match winning streak ended when they lost 38-36 to Christchurch Boys' during their tour of New Zealand.
