During MetroNews 2023 I was the post-production supervisor, a role that is quite different to anything I have done in the past. My job throughout the MetroNews assessment was essentially to keep track of each edited stories throughout its entirety; from planning, filming, editing and exporting. If any stories were missing at the time of the broadcast, it was up to me to make sure it was there on time.
Other jobs I had were creating AVID projects for the five editors and preparing the footage for stories, importing the exported edits into the MetroNews system using FileZilla, and editing the credits sequence for each episode.
