COVID 19 Update v2

The Prime Minister says New Zealanders need to continue using the health precautions put in place to limit the risk of case numbers rising again

The precautions include remaining at least two metres away from people, staying at home if sick, getting tested if symptomatic, and leaving a seat between each other when using public transport.

Jacinda Ardern says it is important to follow the guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

"There is no such thing as never."

Ardern, however, is confident New Zealand won't have a second wave of cases as seen in other countries, provided people continue to act appropriately throughout the different levels put in place by the Ministry of Health.

New Zealand is set to go to level 3 on Monday, April 27 at 11:59 pm.
