Brought to you by the New Zealand Broadcasting School, Metro News is a student-run news bulletin. Students from the Journalism and Screen/TV streams work together to create five live shows centred exclusively on local stories.
This year, I had the pleasure of Studio Directing four of the five shows. I directed the crew of over 60 students to make sure the show ran as smoothly as possible. To direct in such stressful environments, I needed to work well under pressure, be a critical thinker, clear communicator, and confident leader, all of which came naturally to me. I'm proud of our show and my vital part in it. For the future, I aim to be apart of similar projects as I work incredibly well in stressful environments.
