Every year, the native horses in the Kaimanawa ranges are mustered.
If there are too many, they are taken from the herd and either culled or re-homed in order to protect the land.
So, Heathcote Vally Riding School hopes to raise over $9,000 to save three of these Kaimanawa horses.
