The latest in local climate exchange measures are on display at a pop up fair in the central city today.
People can expect to see displays and talks as well as the opening of a colourful poetry wall on a climate change theme.
University of Canterbury Professor Bronwyn Hayward says it's important Christchurch is holding an event like this.
"In Canterbury, land, agriculture and water are a key part of life and it's really great the community are getting behind this" she said.
The Pop Up Climate Exchange fair starts at 10.30 next to the Piano.
More to come.
