After opening in late December, Rauora Park will be the location for Christchurch's newest open-air cinema.
The Park is in an area that extends from the Margaret Mahy playground to around Lichfield Street.
American Express Open Air cinemas will set up 10 open-air cinemas throughout Australia and New Zealand with Christchurch being one of the last locations.
Construction of the temporary outdoor cinema is underway.
The open-air cinema will launch on Thursday night, with a sold-out viewing of Hugh Jackman's 'The Greatest Showman'.
