Police, fire and ambulance responded to a call from the public saying the car was submerged in the lake and the driver was trapped.
When they arrived at the scene, they found driver just needed his car towed from the lake.
Emergency services were called to Lyndon Road near the intersection with the West coast highway at 7.30am.
