A Canterbury Rams player says the team is confident and ready for their game against the Wellington Saints tomorrow night.

Marcus Alipate believes his team trains harder than most others in the National Basketball league.

"If we play the way we're capable of playing, then I think we should come out victorious," Alipate said.

He was looking forward to competing against the Wellington Saints, the reigning league champions.

Canterbury Tall Black and New Zealand Breaker, Ethan Rusbatch, missed the last game due to injury.

"All our guys are healthy now...obviously we had Rusbatch hurt for the first few games but he's back now and we should be fine," Alipate said.

The Canterbury Rams will host the Wellington Saints on Thursday at Cowles Stadium at 7am.
