What's up Ōtautahi? Episode 4 - Anne Galloway

James Regan

Devon Bolger sits down with this week's guest Anne Galloway to talk all things Christchurch

"we have got one of the highest usage of water in the country and we do take it for granted so maybe we will be a bit more careful next time."

Councillor Anne Galloway sat down with Devon Bolger to discuss the recent water chlorination in Christchurch.

A topic that has been back in the news recently after it was found miscommunication led to the city council not being alerted to dangers early, which could've potentially prevented the chlorination at all.

Although Galloway says she doesn't believe they would've been able to prevent it, even if the information had come earlier.

She also said locals may potentially face water charges if usage doesn't drop.

"You know, Selwyn has a water charge and maybe that's a conversation we may have to have in the future."
