Christchurch libraries are getting behind Tech week with technology help drop-in sessions and other creative workshops

Christchurch city libraries run a range of technology-based programmes designed to connect people, inspire discovery and enrich our communities.

A city council spokesperson said the sessions would help with issues such as using email, searching the internet, using electronic resources and general technology-related queries.

"During Techweek we have chosen to showcase a number of existing technology programmes, with a particular focus on Turanga (the central library) and its new spaces and technologies available.''

Drop-in sessions will be held at the following libraries: Hornby, Bishopdale, Shirley, South, Spreydon, Sumner, Halswell and Upper Riccarton.

Other Techweek events at libraries include Virtual Reality Experience, open production studio and 3D design and printing.

Check in with your local library for times.
